Hello,
I have been having an issue with each Beta release of DaVinci Resolve 15, where everything works smoothly for several minutes, only to lock up suddenly, forcing me to quit without the ability to save my work. To be clear, the system does not completely freeze, it simply locks up the viewer on whatever frame I'm parked, it does not respond to a Save command, and I cannot switch from clip to clip inside the Color tab. I can, however, switch to other tabs, including the Edit and Media tab, but I cannot continue grading at all and I cannot save the work. The reason I know the system isn't completely frozen is because I can prompt Resolve to quit using Command + Q, and Resolve will tell me the project has not been saved, and ask me if I want to save. Clicking the Save button does nothing.
I have never had this issue prior to 15 and I've had to roll back to 14 from a backup each time. I've just tried to uninstall completely and re-install, and the issue persists.
Any thoughts?
I am on a 27-inch iMac 5K, 4GHz Intel Core i7, with 32 GN 1600 Mhz DDR3 using the AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4096MB, running a 9TB CalDigit RAID set up to RAID 0 (with nightly clones to a backup drive).
Resolve 15 Beta is otherwise fantastic and I hope I can use it soon.
Best,
