I am coming from SONY Vegas Pro which made the following very easy - it's called "post edit ripple". I can not for the life of me figure out to do this (or something similar) in Resolve 15
I have a timeline full of video clips. I move a single clip to the right for instance. I don't want the content or duration of that clip to change - just its position on the timeline. But I do want all the clips to the right of that clip to ripple to a new position consistent with the amount of the move of the original clip. This is how I understand "rippling" to work.
Or similar to the above, I trim the end of a clip. I want all the clips to the right of that trim to move to the left to fill in the gap created by the trim.
Anyway to do this in Resolve?
I see "Ripple delete" which can sometimes work to fill a gap after a move or trim. But it doesn't help if I want to move a clip over another clip and just want the second clip to ripple to the left or right based on the new position of the original clip.
This seems like a basic editing function to me so I am sure I am just missing it.
