Loss of colors

PostMon Sep 10, 2018 4:18 pm

Hi,
I just started using Davinci Resolve. And when I render my project the colors becomes washed out.
And I have seen that other people have this problem but I have yet to see anyone actually give a solution!
It doesn’t matter if I render to high or lower quality, the result is much worse colors either way.
This program is unusable if it destroys the colors when rendering/exports.
I have also tried the different auto/video/full under advanced settings in rendering.

What to do??

Thanks!

What playback software are you using to playback your file? A good way to check your render is to create a new Resolve project and open the rendered file in that. If the colours are now correct it is your playback software that is at fault.
Not had that problem here. If the programme destroyed colours when rendering, no one would use it.

read the above post, and whenever possible, read the manual. I'm guessing you're on a Mac and have 'Use Mac Display Color Profiles for Viewers' turned on in System Preferences, if so you should turn it off.

There are various threads about how different video players will make your footage look so check those out, plus of course you don't really know what your footage looks like unless viewing on a calibrated external broadcast monitor.
