Problem starting Resolve 15 - Server not running or Passwor

I was using Resolve 14 and intended to install 15 Studio on a new machine and move the dongle to that machine, but after installing I get the error message below.

"postgresql server is either not running or the password is incorrect"



I found this post, but it doesn't seem to be applicable.

Is the PostgreSQL server running? I'm not sure there is one simple method that works on all OS. Google the steps for your specific OS.

The Resolve app does not care about PostgreSQL running.

I suspect you are accidentally running the Resolve Project Server app, which does care.

The Project Server app has a black launch icon. Resolve has a multicolored launch icon.

Make sure you are selecting the proper launch icon.
