C200 Camera Raw white balance shifting

PostTue Sep 11, 2018 10:34 pm

I've been shooting using the Canon c200 and capturing in Rawlite - grading in Resolve 15.

I shot a project with shockless autowhite balance set on the camera.

Now in Resolve the automatic white balance shifts are very apparent even when setting the White Balance manually in the Camera Raw panel.

I would really like to be able to set the white balance manually and have resolve ignore any metadata white balance transitions that were captured in camera (should be possible as it's Raw right?)

Can anyone help? Thanks very much.

Auto white balance is always a bad idea and I doubt that it's not baked in if it shows in the results. I never heard of RAW recordings with auto white varying in metadata. You may need to fiddle with keyframed color corrections.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.
