Vertical grey band when using X Positioner

PostWed Sep 05, 2018 5:22 am

Hye guys I am super new to Davinci and video editing as a whole. I've watched a bunch of tutorials and gotten pretty far (though maybe not always in the most straight forward or easy manner.

Anyway, I created a dynamic logo via Key frames and breaking the logo into separate items on multiple video tracks. For some reason on the name track (the large text) that enters from the left, I get a vertical grey band. This enters the frame from the right, when I attempt to move the text off screen to the left (to have it slide in). It moves proportionally with the text and exits right once the text moves in far enough.

Did I cause this somehow? How can I make it go away? I used a key frame in the Inspector, "text" section and used "position X" to move the text horizontally. I attached a screen shot.

Well, I can't post an image because it says I can't posy URL's....

You can see the grey band on the right. As the text moves to the right (toward center) the grey band moves of at the same speed. The more I move the X value to the left the more centered the band becomes. Since this is no an image I am placing but a text field generated by Resolve I am baffled as to where it is coming from. The other line of text does not have it.

I'm gonna bump this in hopes that it just got pushed back and out of sight. I imagine someone has an idea as to why there is a grey band at the end of my Text clip when I track the actual text to the left off screen.
