Resolve 15 stalls on the "looking for control surface"

I have just downloaded davinci resolve 15 and I cannot get it to run for the life of me. It will open up and stall on the looking for control surface screen and it will stay that way until I click on it then I am prompted with the "app is not responding". Ive read about other people having this issue but I cant seem to fix it, any help is appreciated.

32 GB DDR3 Ram
AMD Radeon r9 390 8 Gb
