There are so many little controls on each clip, like the audio rubberbands, the keyframes button, the curves button, track fades, etc... and these are all super helpful, but we really need the ability to toggle these things off so that when we are just moving clips around and don't want to accidentally click one of these things, we don't.
I find that in the normal course of editing I'm constantly accidentally clicking these things when all I'm intending to do is move a clip.
A simple toggle to hide and reveal these controls is all we need, and to be mappable to a keyboard shortcut for quick access.
Take a look at Premiere for a reference for the way they have it working.
