Tracking and labelling multiple objects independently

Hi,

I am trying to independently track 5 people moving within the same scene simultaneously and attach a name label to each. I am currently attempting to do this within the Fusion tab using several trackers set to Match Move mode and applying a text input to the foreground of each tracker.

The problem I have is merging the outputs from each of the trackers to the media out as merge nodes only handle background and foreground. I have managed to get 2 trackers working together by mapping the output of one to the input of the other, however, I can't get it to work properly with 3 or more in serial.

I'd be very grateful if someone would point me in the right direction, or, put me out of my misery and tell me it can't be done!

You're making this more difficult than necessary.
You can just one tracker node and add several seperate trackers in there. Then you can use the tracking data from those seperate trackers to drive for example the center of a merge tool.
Feed the footage into the background of the merge, put the text tool for your first person into the foreground and then right-click on the center and select: connect to--> and then the path of the tracker that tracked your first person. Repeat with a new merge and Text tool for every other person and you're done.

I have followed your instructions, however, when right clicking on the merge node I can see no option for "connect to" as you describe. Have I misunderstood something?
