v15.0.003 playback issue

PostSun Sep 23, 2018 8:11 pm

- DCi2k scope raster
- monitor scaleing set to HD
- ACEScct
- same nine node tree with mostly L*a*b nodes thoughout
- ProRez444 sources, mainly UHD from Alexa Mini
- some misc camera shots are fusion cached to DNxHR444
- z820 / 2x2697v2 / 2x1080Ti / 128g / SAS array
- renders to DNxHR444 @ 190-210 Fps
- edit page plays fine, CPU@15-20% / GPU@ 10-40%/Disk @ 15%
- color page plays back @ 13 -22Fps with same resources as edit page used; CPU@15-20% / GPU@ 10-40%/Disk @ 15%
change monitor scaleing set to match timeline and it's the same 13 -22Fps
change monitor scaleing set to custom and 2048x858 typed in, and it now playback @ 23.98 all day long

now why it will playback with monitor scaleing set to "custom 2048x858" and not playback with monitor scaling set to "match timeline 2048x858" or scale to HD given the machine resources are avb for Resolve to use is a bit of a mystery

i can't remember seeing any playback issues for a long time now, and other projects are running cleanly

i should be able to move on to 15.1.025 sometime next week

up to 15, if the resolution of the playback was not matching the decklink resolution you where going between the bus and the GPU twice, effectively halving the fps you can do.

it should be fixed in 15 release.
