AVC-I import audio issue

I'm having issues with AVC-I files from a varicam lt being out of sync. Not only this but it is a bit of the audio track repeated throughout the clip. These were working well before the new releases of resolve. I have deleted resolve as well as clearing the application support/davinci folder. It hasn't improved. A friend has been running almost the exact system with no issues. Mac pro OS el capitan late 2013 machine d700 graphics 3.5GHZ - 6 core 16GB ram
