Hi i've been using a version of Davinci resolve for around a year. I'm going to try to explain as clearly as possible the problems I have with any subsequent version I have downloaded.
When you put a clip into the editor it comes with an accompanying image which rests on top of the clip which I utterly despise. This is what my old editor looks like https://puu.sh/BCOJb/9bf0e4ded0.png
and I prefer it like that. Is there a way of removing this >https://puu.sh/BCP3Q/35ad8a1c76.jpg
Now comes the second thing that is utterly infuriating me. When you have one video track on top of another and the top video track has transparency / alpha channels it will just show as pure black in the playback.
So lets say i have 2 images one is the background (the lowest video track or video track 1) the higher one takes priority and it has transparency so that the background can exist behind the foreground transparent background image. In this case there is no image in the playback editor it returns as a pure black image. UNLESS you change the composite mode, which makes completely no sense. I tried to be crystal clear but my problem is quite specific.
