1 rx570 and 1 660ti on same motherboard for davinci?

PostThu Oct 04, 2018 5:28 am

Hi guys, i have a question.
i recently buy and rx570 8gb on sale and i currently have on my pc a 660ti 2gb
i want to use rx570 for davinci resolve and the 660ti for anothers apps that use cuda cores, like redshift.

i want to know if is it possible to run with this 2 diferent brand cards on the same motherboard.
i got and asus prime plus b350 and its support 2 gpu, but i dont know if it possible to run and work with the 2 cards, not as sli or crossfire, but maybe switch between this cards for diferent programs and plugin.

and if this is possible, to use the 660ti for gui and rx570 for processing videos, playback, render compute etc..

bye and sorry for my english!

Hi.

In Resolve you can't mix brands of GPU's.

But I like your idea to use the different GPU's according to your programs.

It will may be depend on different factors. Can your power supply supply both Graphics Cards at the same time?

Inside Resolve you can select between CUDA (660ti) and OpenCL (rx570). But can you also do that inside Redshift?

If not, may be you can use dual boot and only have the right Graphics Card installed when you install the programs, so only the right drivers will be installed. It is just an idea.
But I can't really answer your questen. It is something you have to try and find out.

Regards Carsten.
