Shared Compound Nodes

PostThu Jul 12, 2018 5:37 pm

I spoke to a colorist who made compound nodes shared nodes in the 15 beta immediately after release, but I can't find the option to do that any more. Has this capability been removed? It would be incredibly powerful to be able to add new nodes inside the compound node, and then have all instances of the compound node add the new nodes inside it automatically. Is there a different way to do this?

Are Shared Compound Nodes not a possibility for v15?

+1 for this feature !
That would have been great for me today.

Use case :
I have dozen of greenscreen footage that I want to process as batch = pipe a key to an Alpha Output (in the node graph) + process color = 6-7 nodes.
The "Pre/Post Group" and "Timeline" node graphs don't allow to "Add an Alpha Output" = only possibility is to apply the same node tree to all the clips = messy and tedious in case of adjustment.
A Shared Compound would be a godsend.
