Hi Blackmagic Forum,
I'm a super new user to Resolve (started literally 70 minutes ago) and I've been having a hard time getting my first project going.
Most (>95%) of all video files I have on my computer import into DaVinci Resolve along with their audio track(s) but of those 95% said audio tracks are completely silent.
Audio Files imported play fine. Some video files "just work".
I also have tried testing audio with and without clicking "match media settings" and I get the same results both ways.

example of importing three distinct video files with the same compression format/audio format yet only one has an audible audio track after importing

Here's a google drive link for some video files that exhibit this behavior. Feel free to download them and try importing them in DaVinci Resolve yourself.
Reproduction steps:
1. Download one of the files I linked just above this paragraph.
2. Try dragging it into media library/directly onto timeline.
3. Attempt playback
I took a peek at the
that I generated under 'help' and noticed a lot of errors in opening these video files. Feel free to take a look yourself.
These are fairly standard video files, downloaded from the web, exported from other programs and recorded from other devices. I'm very surprised to see them unusable after importing them on a fresh install.
Thank you for your time. I'll be following this thread closely to hear back if anyone can help.
