How to buy studio?

PostTue Oct 23, 2018 2:25 pm

Ok dumb question but how do i buy and a get serial number for Davinci Resolve Studio?
I've downloaded the Studio version but it asks for a serial number but there is no link to buy it - nor can I see a link from the website?
Do I have to go online to a third party supplier and have it snail mailed to me?

You can purchase a code from Adorama or B&H

It has to be mailed to you before you can use it. No code download.

B&H and Adorama will work if you're in the US. For other countries, Blackmagic Design has a list of resellers on the Davinci Resolve webpage.

Whatever you do, if you have a Mac, don't buy the App Store version. It is missing some capabilities.
Resolve 19 Studio, M2 MacBook Air with 24 gigs of RAM; also Mac Pro 3.0 GHz 8-core, 32 gigs RAM, dual AMD D700 GPU.

Ok thanks and have just purchased an activation key from an approved vendor in the UK rather than a dongle so hopefully made the correct choice :?:

Also, make sure you need the Studio version before buying it. The free version has almost everything you would need to get started with editing and color correcting. That can be downloaded and used right away.

I bought the studio version after using the free version for a year. I wanted the video noise reduction and the FX plugins that you get with the Studio version. If you find yourself getting to a point in editing where the software says the feature you are trying to use is in the studio version, then see if you want to buy it.
