Over exposure indicator / auto-align layers?

PostMon Oct 22, 2018 11:53 pm

Hello,
Is there a way to turn on an over exposure indicator (e.g. zebras) in the Resolve UI? I'd like to see what's over exposed on the image itself in addition to the waveform/scopes.

Also, is there a function that will automatically align two videos that are slightly off (due to camera being bumped)? Looking for something similar to the auto-align feature in Photoshop. The shots are fixed-camera angle.

Thank you

You could write a DCTL to indicate overexposure. To show zebras you could use a scaled horizontal and vertical mod function, or more simple, use false colors.

Hello,

Or use Davinci Resolve's Safe Exception?
Try : Project Settings => Color Management => Broadcast Safe (select one option and test)
Color Tab => Menu view => Select 'Display Broadcast Safe Exception'

Everything in blue goes beyond + the limits ...
Everything in yellow goes beyond - the limits ...
SAFE EXECPTION.jpg

(I hope a future version of Davinci Resolve offers a Zebra 70 or 80 to 100 in project settingsor I did not find .. ) :)
