Resolve 15: migrating projects from free to paid version

PostWed Oct 24, 2018 9:12 am

Hi,

I am new to this forum so please be kind. I have been using the free versions of Resolve 12-15 and have just bought the paid studio version of 15 via the app store, I am running the software on a mac.

I had expected to be able to see all my old projects when I opened the Studio version but nothing there. Is there a simple way to migrate all my old projects into the studio version, keeping grades, settings and especially connecting to the optimised media I am using in a recent project.

I tried exporting one project as a .drp and the structure opens fine but I have lost optimised media.

Any tips gratefully accepted

An update to this. After realising my error in purchasing the App store version I have now received a refund from the App Store and I'm waiting for a software package to arrive in the post. The question still stands though about migrating the project.

Thanks in advance,

James

With the BMD version of Resolve Studio, your projects will be intact when you update. If you were using the BMD free version. If you were using the free App Store version, not so much. Let us know if that's the situation.
