This is a bit annoying

PostWed Jan 15, 2020 12:17 pm

Hi All,
An issue that I waste a lot of time with is where I use a .png photo say of a map and I have to edit in Photoshop after I see that it has something I don't want once it is on the timeline. I delete the original from Davinci, do the edit in Photoshop and re-import it back into Davinci. The photo that appears is the original not the edited one! I either have to go in and re-name the photo and then import it or close Davinci and re-open it to get the correct photo to appear. I have to do this a lot as with the maps I am usually removing the sea which has lots of ins and outs in the river estuaries and bays and it only becomes clear when I import the .png to Davinci as it then has a black background for the transparent area. Is there a quick way to remove a file that clears it completely from Davinci's memory?

Have you tried deleting render cache?

To clear a project’s cache:
> Open the project, and choose Playback > Delete Render Cache > All, or Unused
