The proposed powershell option does not work if you don't have adming access. In this case, the short answer is quite simple, just locate the Resolve executable in the Program files directory and start if from there. Once you have it running, pin it to the Taskbar and you have it easily accessible via the Taskbar.
This is a rather small but quite unnecessary annoying feature of the Resolve installer. All other BM windows apps that are installed together with Resolve behave "well" ie show up in the s´Start menu etc even if you install them eg with elevated admin rights from an other account (school or work computers controlled by IT dept or similar). Why oh why cannot BM make Resolve install in the same way as all the others???
As I'm on the topic of annoying installer features, an other is that there seems to be some apps or features that are installed by Resolve app installer that are "system" or "driver" and that at least our security system blocks even when I have limited admin rights to my PC. It would be good if the Resolve installer was "clean" and any drivers etc could be separately selected in the installation menu (so like the RAW modules etc). Now I cannot update Resolve eg to 18.6.3 without making a tour to the IT support desk while some other (earlier) versions have been installable without any special rights rights needed.
