Auto sync problems

I'm having some issues with auto synch I hope the collective can help with.

I'm on DR Studio 17.9 beta. I've got a number of interviews with RED Helium camera audio from the scratch mic and a separate audio file from a MixPre6. The camera and mixer were not jam synched. The interviews were all shot within 3 days of each other - no settings in the camera or mixer were changed. The camera frame rate is 24, but the mixer was set to 23.976. I've created separate bins for each interview. About half of the clips synch fine - Others do not. Each clip has plenty of pre & post roll, and each clip has an audible clap for a slate.

I can sync some of the clips in the cut page, others I have to manually synch in a timeline.

Any thoughts on why I can't sync all my clips using the auto sync feature?

Maybe it helps to set the clips to 23.97 too in the Clip Attributes?

I thought of that, but why do some clips synch perfectly and others do not? I can't find anything different about the non-sync'd clips that stands out. It's frustratingly weird. Guess I'm stuck with making subclips of a sequence.

So it turned out to be a 'DOH' moment. The scratch track from the camera was very low. I manually synched to the audio and all is well.
