Just wanted to report that after close to a week of using DaVinci Resolve 17.1 Beta 10 on my M1 MacBook Air, that the beta is stable and performing very well. Beta 9 frequently failed to completely close when exiting the application and would require the use of "force quit" from Activity Monitor, or a restart of the workstation, to clear it from memory.
That issue has not occurred once under Beta 10. Rendering performance is still very good, a feature I'd desired from Beta 9, and Beta 10 unlike Beta 8 appears to have less memory pressure when operating the application while observing Activity Monitor.
Great job Blackmagic Design teams! I'm looking for any remaining issues, but this is getting pretty solid for the M1 Apple Silicon systems.
