How do I prerender a portion of a project

PostFri Mar 05, 2021 3:53 pm

Hi,

I'm new to resolve.
How do I pre-render a portion of a project.
I'm familiar with the buggy PowerDirector, and it had this feature where you select a portion of the project and prerender it.

Does Resolve have this in the editing tab?

Greetings,

Rick

In Resolve, this feature is called Cache.

It's a complex subject, so take a look at the manual for all the details. You can find that under Help>Reference Manual.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

There's a chapter in the Introduction called Improving Performance, Proxies, and the Render Cache. (Chapter 6)
