I can't duplicate this in Studio 17.1b10 for Windows.

With those settings, clips are mute both in the Source Viewer and when added to a timeline. They don't even get a waveform drawn.

Did you change the attributes before using the clip?

You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

this was before, and then put on track and then corrected. Still it should be working both before and after changes.

Not necessarily. Sometimes you have to set things up as desired before you start working, as changes only apply to new work.

To mute a clip in the Timeline, select it and use the shortcut D. It should turn grey. To re-enable it select it and again use shortcut D.
To mute the audio part of a video clip make sure they are unlinked.

shortcut D is not working for me - you have to write, what the shortcut NAME is. But yeah, that is a work around.

I my head, I should be able to change a clip attribute, and it updates on the timeline, when I edit on the timeline. What if I had edit 800 cuts, and NOW found out I dont want audio, then I had to manually change the clip or mute the sound... not a real workflow.

To mute all the audio clips either mute the tracks or select all the audio and hit D on the keyboard, it's as simple as that. It is not a workaround, that is how you do it. It can be found on the Fairlight page in the Clip dropdown, but also works in the Edit and Cut pages.

Clip attributes in the Media Pool and Clip attributes in the Timeline are deliberately independent of each other. This allows for more different workflows, as the Clip attributes in the Media Pool can be modified on an "as needed" basis without those changes affecting existing clips in the Timeline.

I can confirm that problem.

The mute buttons are not working on the Deliver page. You need to go to the Edit page, change the settings and then they are reflected in the Deliver page. Same applies to the buttons for disabling video tracks. Both even show the tooltips, but do nothing.
So, I'd consider this a bug. Might be limited to MacOS, since Claus is on a Mac too.

I understand that for some workflows it might be very helpful to have different settings in the Deliver page.

I use "MEDIA" and "EDIT" - BOTH has problems with MUTE in clip attributes. Not sure Deliver page, has clip attributes :D
