I'm having difficulty with multicam editing in Resolve 17.1. Following the Sync Bin procedure in the Cut page, it seems that when you choose a different camera angle Resolve assumes a pre-set duration for that camera angle, then immediately jumps to the end of the new angle after placing it in the timeline. That breaks up my workflow because I'm always stopping and starting.
I prefer the multicam workflow that is available in the Edit page where I can simply choose a new camera angle while playing the timeline, and that angle stays in the timeline until I change to a new one, sort of like a live video switcher. The drawback of this method though, is that every new camera angle goes onto the same track, making it more difficult to locate camera angles if I want to modify the edit later.
Is there a way to place new camera angles on top of a base track while using the multicam workflow? The idea would be that every camera angle that isn't the angle on track 1 would automatically be placed on track 2.
