Apologies, I have asked this before but that was when both products were in beta.
Now we have a final 17.0 and a 17.1 and I know that the .1 has Apple M1 support. However, aside from this are there any advantages or other differences in using one or the other? Is the nomenclature that is odd: 17.1 would appear to be a later or 'more advanced' version to the more casual user or new buyer.
eg: which of these should I be best using on an (Intel) 2019 mac pro, and
how do we understand this going forward, v. 17.xx.y.
I can only assume this labelling should merge at some point & the distinction between CPUs only seems to be an Apple thing for now.
Thanks
