Resolve 17.1 Deliver Issues

having major problems on Fairlight page as well but now just trying to export a 720x480 timeline. using the Youtube preset and setting the frame size to 720x480, 29.97fps which matches the timeline resolution. all looks fine on the edit page but as soon as the render starts the video gets squished horizontally in the 720x480 frame leaving black pillar bars on either side and this is how the rendered file looks.

what am i doing wrong to get what i see on the edit page into an exported file?

solved it.
was a mismatch with project and timeline settings.

Fairlight however game me big problems. very wacky automation behaviour with automation envelopes going all over the screen and plugins magically changing their settings on their own.
