Question about Timeline Color Space

PostFri Mar 12, 2021 10:04 am

Hi guys... Probably it's a simple question, but i would like to have a confirm :)

on our studio we're working only with Panasonic Eva1 cameras. We shoot in V-Log (obviously), And in davinci i still don't understand very well the right pipeline to the Timeline Color Space in Color Mangement. We can't use Davinci Wide Gamut because we strong use Fusion titles (you know what i mean BMD engineers eheheh), so i would like to know if my settings are correct:

No LUT selected.
Color science Davinci YRGB.
Timeline color space Panasonic V-Gamut/V-Log.

In color page i use a node with a CST where in input space and gamma i left "use timeline", and as output i use Rec709 Gamma2.4.

Is that correct this workflow? Do you confirm that the Timeline color space (as written on manual, at page 154 in middle page), affect only the sensitivity of using the tools on color page?

Many thanks!
