17.1 compound clip transparency issue

PostThu Mar 11, 2021 3:43 am

Updated my Resolve studio from 17.0 to 17.1 on my Windows PC. (Details in my sig)

Noticed this repeatable behavior.
In Edit page with a clip.
Added text title then add color generator underneath.
I would crop the color to form a colored box behind the text title.

With title and color generator selected I would create a compound clip so I can manipulate this over the clip. This is something I would do for lower thirds graphic.

With 17.1 update the compound clip will not have transparency and is just very dark background so the clip underneath cannot show.

Rolled back and it behaves normally again.

I'm seeing the same in Studio 17.1 for Windows.

As soon as I create the Compound, the alpha goes away.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Re: [BUG] 17.1 compound clip transparency issue

Dang I just rolled back hoping it would solve my issue, but it didn't.

I have few compound clips in a fusion composition and they work great, but if I close DR and go back in, the alpha fails and all my compounds have the black background. I can replace all the MediaIns and it works again which I've now down more times than I can count.

I'm wondering if you guys have any thoughts on this or maybe I should start a new topic?

Thank you
