DaVinci Resolve cannot select media storage location

PostFri Mar 12, 2021 5:23 pm

Hello there,

The same window pops up when I open DaVinci Resolve on Debian and Linux Mint, even on different PC (a laptop with Intel HD Graphics 520, and a desktop computer with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050)

Unsupported GPU Processing Mode
Please review the GPU drivers and GPU configuration under preferences.

I have installed my NVIDIA drivers but when I go to update configuration, I don't know what media storage location should I add for gallery stills and cache files, because even though I select any path DaVinci Resolves closes immediately. What is the standard location? Or is it a problem about write permissions on the disk?

If someone knows how to solve this, I would really thank you!

I like to use a dedicated internal drive for these things.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
