Mixer EQ issues resolve 17.1 linux

PostTue Mar 16, 2021 1:53 am

Let me start by saying I am not saying this is an issue with resolve. But I have no audio issues in any other applications.

When I launch resolve and open a project it has audio output which I can hear. In fairlight I can move the main audio fader and it changes the volume. Unfortunately that is where the good news ends. I am unable to move any of the other faders. If I go to the edit page and try changing the volume of a clip by the normal drag it up and down it doesn't even show the up/down arrows to say you are at the right place.

If I go to the fairlight page and double click on the EQ for a track nothing happens. If I press the +sign to add an effect for a track nothing happens. Other parts of the UI do work like showing the Loudness panel. It is like this for all projects.

It did work within the last 2 weeks. I have had both my Zoom F6 and H1N plugged in since then. So I tried this but it had no effect.

I have deleted the contents of my pulse folder and rebooted so it would be recreated. There is an ALSA PLUGIN [resolve] showing in the application part of the desktops mixer.

I tried rolling back to the 17 release but that didn't help so I reinstalled 17.1.

A quick grep in the rolling log shows warnings not errors

cat rollinglog.txt |grep fair

Has any one run into this or have any ideas as to what I can try? Thanks in advance.
