This year I started using DaVinci Resolve for color grading. It has become an integral part in work so I have to establish professional work ethic in a short period of time, realistically of course.
My question for today is noise reduction. Temporal vs Spatial. If temporal takes an average over an interval of time of the source file to differentiate moving objets between static ones; compared to spatial which softens high frequency noise to maintain fidelity, is to know when to properly use both in tandem or choose, for grading. Since its under my assumption that spatial can be used for in motion subject matter yet its traditional to use temporal with high frame sampling of 3+. What would be considered high frequency? A 60HZ light signal? High amount of light from the sun?
Example footage, I have an ocean shot @ the settings: 4K 2.3:1 ISO 800 120 FPS with 8:1 Constant Bitrate. I will be including a comparison of shot with no noise reduction and one I did with these settings. I am coming to an understanding the constant bitrate above 5:1 will produce noise automatically because the fidelity is not close to 3:1 or Q0

Motion Range: small (assumed because of 120 FPS footage)

When doing the primary adjustment node, I get unwanted noise that seems to be in the static, yet with this shot, the highlights of the waves mist seems to get it as well. I made sure the the primary adjustment is getting no clipping on the IRE scale, right below 128 and below 1024.
Since the static is affected including motion of the waves, how would one approach this? Also, would it make more sense to complete the grade entirely including the secondary adjustment grade, into color grading node before applying noise reduction? I mean usually, primary adjustments with a few elements with a secondary node is usually good for me because I'm not doing much cinema work to require poly element grading.
