Importing image sequence not working DaV 17

HI
This is probably a newbie issue but Ive followed several online tutorials and none are working.

I am trying to import a png image sequence in D 17 and nothing is working.
All files are properly sequenced *.png .

I have tried importing via:
the first image
all the images at once
the folder
dragged in
imported in
set project folder to the sequence folder

and I always only get single images never a sequence

please help

use the media page, select the storage window 3 dot option to treat stills as a sequence.
drag the clip from the storage window to the media pool in media page.
