R3D conform issues

PostWed Mar 17, 2021 12:32 am

Hi all,
I have been conforming some sequences that are made up of archival footage and 5k/8k R3D in Resolve 16. I have conformed all of the R3D using trimmed DPX files last week without any issues but I found out today that I will have to use the R3D after all. This afternoon I started to relink to the R3D with massive issues. Crashes were happening every few minutes, every time I started to change a R3D clip.

The log notes the same error over and over again.

A001_C001_0224CS.RDC, track 0: codec DUMMY is not supported
C006_C001_1017GJ_024.R3D> for decoding, error: <Cannot find the codec for decoding.

Someone mentioned I turn off the GPU option for R3D and that has seemed to help a little bit.

Are there codecs I should have installed on my system for Resolve to work properly with R3D?

Thanks,
Henry

I'm not aware of Resolve needing anything additional installed to work with supported RAW formats.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
