OpenCL/CUDA errors in Windows10

PostTue Mar 23, 2021 5:12 pm

Hello,
I'm trying to use Resolve on my new PC. I have an integrated GPU, Intel UHD 630, but I'm not shooting for the stars, I just want to edit some short clips, therefore I tried to download an older version. I tried 12, 11, 10 but they all givethe same error: close Resolve and update OpenCL driver. I tried what someone suggested in other posts, adding

LsManager.3.NumGPUs = 1
LsManager.3.GPUMapping = 0
LsManager.3.GPUMappingEnable = 1
Local.GPU.Mode = CUDA

but the error persisted, only changing from "OpenCL" to "CUDA". My specs are

i5 10400
Win 10
UHD 630 Graphics
8GB RAM

Can I use Resolve, or is it better to look for something else?

CUDA is only available with Nvidia GPUs. Try updating your Intel drivers. You could also do with double the amount of RAM that you have. I suspect your computer is well underpowered for Resolve.

My drivers are updated, at least that's what Intel Driver Assistant keeps telling me. I know that my machine isn't the best for Resolve, but the requirements of Resolve v10/v11 are pretty low too

I don't know if the early versions of Resolve are compatible with Win 10.
