Masking and Zooming

PostTue Mar 23, 2021 7:13 pm

hi, i am somewhat of a beginner and hope i am even using the right vocabulary for this question.

i have a static shot, a large room, that appears in two clips. in the first clip, there are extra objects in the room, and in the second, they are gone, and i use the alpha output with the second clip to mask the part of the room with objects in the first clip. hope i am using mask correctly in this sense.

the two clips were also shot with a static camera, they are exactly the same view of the room, just one has objects and one doesn't.

I want to do a zoom, so i set the key frames at 0, going to 2, same place for both of the clips.

unfortunately, during the zoom they move at different rates and become disjointed. they end up correctly, but don't move the same way.

is there any way to do this smoothly without setting the zoom frame by frame for each clip?

i hope this is clear.

Make sure the keyframe interpolation is the same.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
