Curves Naming Convention

PostThu Mar 25, 2021 9:25 pm

Anybody else find it frustrating that Resolve names the various Curves using non-conventional nomenclature? Convention is that when you say Y vs X, the X is on the horizontal axis and Y is on the vertical, the opposite of what Resolve does. I keep choosing Sat vs Lum when I really need to use Lum vs Sat, etc.

They do get it right with the Hue vs Hue curve though. :D

The convention is Selection vs Adjustment.

Hue vs Sat is selecting the Hue and adjusting it's saturation.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
