Is BMD charging now?

Just went to download the new braw app and got the following message.

Subject to payment of applicable license fees, Blackmagic Design Pty. Ltd. ("Blackmagic Design") hereby grants to you a non-exclusive license to use this software product (the "Software") and accompanying documentation on the terms below. The Software may be used on a single system only, and may be copied for archival purposes, provided any copy must contain all of the original Software's proprietary notices.

Applicable fees... If you didn’t pay, nothing was applied I suppose.

It could that they are preparing the grounds for charging. They have said that the upgrades are free for now. So if it happens it happens.

Perhaps it's just a Catch-All, and the 'fees' for BRAW were paid when you bought the camera.

It's just legal terminology to cover licensing rules.

Yeah, without that, anyone reading the EULA would be awarded a license. So that terminology ensures that only people who bought a license are granted a license.
