Resolve 17 Render artifacting/data moshing?

PostMon Mar 29, 2021 6:40 am

Hi,

Recently I wanted to recreate the look of those rendered tech commercials so I grabbed my bmpcc6k and filmed some shots to rotoscope out and implemented into a solid color background and a little drop shadow. Then I ripped some audio from some pre-existing commercials just to put a little 5-second "spec" advertisement that would work as my proof of concept to try a more advanced version with movement and such.

Here is my issue. I rendered it out and to my surprise, there is a big artifact just a couple of seconds in when the screen is supposed to cut to all white. I will link to the clip uploaded to youtube here: youtu.be/PGrQxHvERuQ

Does anybody have any possible fixes for this? Thank you!

I see that sometimes when I use H.264 source material.

I've never seen it when I don't use H.264 source material.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
