Hi

I am having the same issue while using a Wavlink dock. Did you find a resolution?

I uninstalled the Display Link driver from my Windows 10 laptop, but I continue to get "Unsupported GPU Processing Mode" unless I disconnect the dock from the laptop and move all of the connections to the laptop. FYI, I have a variety of USB devices attached: wireless mouse receiver, smartcard reader, displayport, audio out, backup drive...

I have the same exact model Kensington dock at my office, though different devices are connected to that dock. When I attach the laptop to my dock at work then DaVinci 17 beta 2 now starts OK (same laptop). However, it wouldn't previously start without uninstalling the Displaylink driver or disconnecting the dock from the laptop, or both.

Except for DaVinci Resolve beta 2, the docks both continue to function normally with or without without the Display Link driver installed, but that's because I have usb-c on both laptops.

The only "update" for my Kensington dock seems to be the Display Link driver itself, which doesn't seem to be needed by the dock in my case.

Note that the use of my Kensington dock isn't an issue with Resolve 16.

Well, I just installed Beta 3 and the issue with the dock seems to have been fixed, for now.

I just want to confirm, that copying the gpudetect.dll from older beta worked for me....

I am on Windows 8.1, Resolve 17b5 and Nvidia 2070. I copied the gpudetect.dll from my laptop, where I was (luckily) still on beta2....

This was no longer an issue for me on Beta 3, 4, 5, or 6, and I didn't have to do anything besides a regular install.

I've gotten this message on the last three versions (up to 17b6) on my main computer with an RTX2060 super and the latest Nvidia driver. Strangely, 17b6 seems to run on my Dell laptop with a claimed GTX1060 in it.

I'm a little confused, and if I'm being honest, I'm just bummed because I don't want to wait until the stable version of 17 comes out! Lol

One other thing that bums me out though, is that when I reinstalled 16.2.8 today, I had to put in my activation code, and then I got the message "1 activation remaining."

Bummer!! I had no idea there were limits on how many times I could use an activation code, or I would have been a bit less of a spendthrift with trying new versions of Resolve all of the time.

I work in a DELL XPS 15 from 2018. I just got a Kensington SD4780P docking station and got a very similar problem to yours. The two programs I found that did not work were Blender and Resolve.

I went looking in the Device Manager and saw in the Display Adapters that the Kensington was listed together with my Integrated as well as dedicated GPU.

I would love to have some explanation from someone who understands why the following worked for me:
I changed my monitor from main to secondary display. So the laptop is my main monitor and the external monitor is the secondary.

I don't like this setup, but hopefully an update in the (near) future resolves the problem.

You might try uninstalling your DisplayLink driver. My understanding is DisplayLink is needed only if you're driving a monitor through a USB port.
