Change Speed/Speed Ramp and Cache

I noticed that speed changes are not cached in User Mode (17.1 Studio). It only works in the Smart Mode. Is this correct or is it a bug? Is there any other way to cache speed changes?

Right click on the clip and enable "Render Cache Color Output"
