Unacceptable slow rendering time from ProRes sources

PostTue Mar 30, 2021 3:17 am

Hello.
My workflow for delivery is: uncompressed AVI YUV 10bit, individual clips, no audio.

I'm working on Dell Alienware 17R4 laptop, NVIFIA 1070.

DaVinci 17.1, RCM, timeline WideGamut color space, output rec709 scene.

With sources in h.265, h.264, or CineDNG I have no problems with rendering speed.

But with Apple ProRes 422 the render speed is unacceptable. Less than 1 frame per second.

What may it be?

Please post a sample clip that makes the system slow so someone can review.
