Error -1

PostWed Mar 24, 2021 11:04 am

I recently installed 17 after removing the previous installation. I was able to edit a simple video and additional audio track and a couple titles. Any color processing attempts are unresponsive and before long freeze the program. I attached an error log after an unsuccessful attempt at color correction.

The previous version had no difficulties with color correction. I can go back if it looks like the problem is complicated. I have plenty of memory in this Windows 10 computer, but it is a refurb that I believe had the previous version of Windows originally. It been a real champ, though. I'm using OneDrive cloud backup for files.

Thanks for any ideas!

That's good for backups, but move any files you want to use out of that folder before importing into Resolve.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

I got the impression that a lot of folks have had trouble with 17 freezing. I know for some eliminating leftover files and re-installing did the trick. For me, that did take care of the program not starting at all (well, sometimes I got the splash screen).

But, now that it starts, it can't handle my cursor touching the title special effects or attempting color correction.

No ideas? I attached the resulting Resolve zip file.
