Fairlight - Main Volume Slider

PostTue Mar 30, 2021 10:48 am

This may be a stupid question, but should there be a main volume slider with 17?

I don't have one on my output so would like to have access to it.

Can someone help me add it?

I've linked to a pic of what it currently looks like.

In version 17, by default new Projects use Flexi Bus mode and Busses are named Bus 1, Bus 2, etc.

Fixed Bus Projects behave like Resolve 16 and prior versions and will feature Main Busses, Sub Busses, and Auxes in the Bus Format window.

Prior to creating a new Timeline in a new Project, the following preference may be enabled:
Project Preferences > Fairlight > Audio Busing Mode > Use Fixed Bus Mapping

More details in the DaVinci Resolve New Features Guide installed within Resolve 17's application folder or accessible via Resolve's Help menu.

Thanks.

I was just away to edit, asking if Bus was the new volume.

Yes, it is.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
