Resolve Not Showing/Processing any Video! Help!!

PostTue Mar 30, 2021 3:14 am

Hi All,

I'm having major issues getting Resolve to work. After it started crashing when in the colour tab, I did a fresh install and now it fails to process, show or work with ANY video.

I have done a fresh windows install and moved resolve from my programs SSD to my boot SSD. I have also updated my BIOS as per another thread and yes, my displays are connected to my graphics card. None of this has fixed the issue.

I have tried different file types. H264, REDCODE RAW and 422 Proxy to no avail. Premiere Pro and VLC are all processing said video the same and handling it fine.

The system specs are Windows 10, Resolve 17.1, Ryzen 7 3700x, Asus R7 370 and 32GB RAM. The graphics card is outdated but it wasn't having any problems for the past couple of months. This will be replaced when I can finally get my hands on one.

I'm really at a loss here. It cant be my GPU because it was working, everything else is fresh and the video works on my Resolve on my mac book pro.

I've attached an image of what it looks like. Any and all help is very much appreciated!

Cheers!

The only idea I have is that Windows and Programs should always be installed on C: (the boot drive).
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Hmm, ok. I have tried both but I’ll do a proper uninstall + regedit cleanse and try again on my C drive.

I ended up fixing a graphics card after posting this so hopefully that might fix it!

Thanks
