Sharing projects and it's media

PostThu Apr 01, 2021 4:01 pm

Hey guys, I'm looking for the best way to share a project from my machine to another for simultaneous work with the same media. A classic home-work situation.

I'm coming from Avid interface, where I'd import/transcode original clips on one computer, AAF export these and load those MXF's into appropriate directory on another computer. Only then I'm able to send bins and sequences from one to another. How does this work in Resolve please?

I'm starting a new project and as I already color grade in DaVinci, I decided to learn and do it all on this (for me) new platform, which I'm really looking up to.

One of the main factors here has been the advertised no need to consolidate or transcode media, just drop and play, which sounds amazing as I'll be using footage from different sources, codecs and resolutions. Yet, this is where my confusion with sharing media begins.

I'll greatly appreciate any advice. This is my first post, so I hope it's understandable enough :)

Thanks for your time and have a great one.
