Audio Level Reduction After Export

PostSat Apr 03, 2021 8:43 pm

I just noticed that after I export a video, the playback volume of the audio is lower than when I'm editing in Resolve. In other words, I'm listening while editing in Resolve, then I switch to the rendered version and there's a noticeable drop in volume.

On the delivery page under audio settings, I'm using the AAC codec with a data rate of 192Kb/s and a bit depth of 16.

Not sure what to do here as I cannot increase the volume of the audio track within Resolve without clipping. The audio track is high quality and is as good/loud as it can be.

Thanks for any help!

My first guess would be that whatever program you're using to play the exported file has its volume turned down.

To check this, import the exported file back into Resolve and see if the audio is at the correct level.
Resolve Studio 17.4.6 - Fusion Studio 17.2.2 - Windows 10
Gigabyte GTX1080ti 11GB - AMD 1950X - 64GB 2400
Gigabyte X399 AORUS Gaming 7
Intensity Pro 4k
Presonus 192 Audio Interface

Yup, the volume was lower in the playback app. Phew, that's humbling. Thanks for answering.
