GPU fail

PostThu Apr 01, 2021 8:28 pm

Hello

I suddenly started getting the "The GPU failed to perform image processing because of an error."
Error Code 209

Any clips I try to import show up as "pink noise" and are not useable.

This started suddenly in Studio 17, so I thought I should try Studio 16 but to no avail.

I know my video card is the weak link, but it worked before. GTX 770 2 GB. There is no studio driver for this card.

I have ordered a new card a 1660ti OC 6 GB, but that's going to be a while.

Right now the program is unworkable.

Any help is very appreciated.

Hi. It’s a GTX 770 2GB. It worked to a degree prior. I am waiting for a GTX 1660 Ti OC 6 GB. I had the latest driver installed; there is no studio driver for this card which is why I ordered the new card. I tried rolling the driver back but it didn’t help. This came up suddenly.

So..... I deleted everything Studio 16, rebooted, and reinstalled Studio 17. It’s working again. Rolling back the GPU driver (461.40) may have helped. Waiting for new GPU .........
