Bug: "Ripple cut" inconsistency on Linux with 17.1.1

PostSun Apr 04, 2021 6:36 pm

Still following The Beginner's Guide to DaVinci Resolve 16 with my Resolve 17.1.1 on Linux.

Right now, trying to do step 4 of page 129 of the above guide where, after selecting two video clips, I should to a Ripple cut I found out that I couldn't do it through the Edit >> Ripple cut menu option because this option is greyed out.

I can do it pressing Ctrl-Shift-X and I can do it right clicking on one of the selected clips and selecting the Ripple cut option in the local menu.

It can be confusing if one way of doing the same operation is disabled.

Resolve version: 17.1.1 Build 9
Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS fully updated
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor
Total online memory: 64G
GeForce GTX 1050 - 2048 MB
NVIDIA Driver Version: 460.39
Storage Drive: shared M2 drive

Edit >> Paste insert has exactly the same problem as Ripple cut: works from local (right click) menu, through keyboard shortcut but not throught Edit menu.
