Getting files into Resolve

PostThu Apr 08, 2021 8:52 pm

Hi, I'm using a MacBook Pro from 2012 running Resolve 15.3.1 Studio.
I received my 6kPro today and made two short clips and two stills. When I play the video on the camera the files are there. When I hook the T5 drive to my Mac everything shows up but when I open Resolve and look in the media bin the drive is there along with the two stills but the videos are not.

Everything seems okay, I formatted the drive with the camera, the clips play on the camera and the stills show up in Resolve, just not the video clips. The files are Braw 8:1.

Does the color science of the new camera have anything to do with it? I'm really at a loss. Last year I had no problem importing some Canon footage from that drive into Resolve 15.

I don't recall which version introduced braw support, but it looks like15.3.1 precedes it. You'll need a later version.

Okay thanks for the quick response. I plan to upgrade the computer later this year.

Not all versions. The 6K Pro is pretty recent.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.

There are variants of BRAW which require 16.3 or later.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
